Thalbergmad... while I usually don't side with Alistair - and you know I don't... when you BAIT him, then you only have yourself to blame.

Things were quiet and peaceful...

I can't see any "baiting" going on here and, as I can't even see the point of the post, that seems hardly surprising. I have not the remotest interest in "taking sides" in any case.

However, mention of the subject in a new thread of Thal's creation (albeit by means of a bizarrely off-topic post) provides me with the opportunity to share its latest published review in the Gramophone at https://www.gramophone.co.uk/review/sorabji-sequentia-cyclica , one of a series of very positive critiques of this monumental achievement.

Best,

Alistair

Wow, article number 146 of some unknown German Publication.

That is the equivalent of the Tooting Bus Depot Award.

That is the equivalent of the Tooting Bus Depot Award.
Hardly unknown, any more than the myriad of other record reviewing publications in which have appeared fulsomely enthusiastic crits of this recording.

I confess to never having heard of the award that you mention but Tooting is not in Germany.
