Piano teachers during the pandemic
on: April 25, 2020, 12:15:30 PM
My understanding is that, at least in the U.S., piano teachers, and other self-employed or ultra-small business people, are eligible for assistance, BUT, that it's so far very difficult to get the system to work. Where I live, broadband coverage is spotty and on-line lessons do not really work. So, since I'm retired and haven't taken a big hit from the economic fallout of covid-19, I continue to pay my teacher, even though I can't actually have lessons for now. My impression is that lots of teachers could badly use that sort of help, so if you can do it, why not?
