This is would be one of my last posts for the time being, I am sharing a brilliant recording of the Lisztian show piece, Smetanaīs Concert etude in g sharp minor.

Excellent timing, I've been going through a bit of a rough patch lately (nothing to do with this whole Covid-19 bullshit, though), and this was very uplifting, not to mention it's also one of my favorite Smetana works, cheers!

It is probably the most popular of his solo piano works, but probably not one of his most authentic as far as his personal musical language goes. I never understood why the polkas, for example, arenīt received very well abroad. Many are of the opinion that they are as much of a masterpiece as chopinīs mazurkas.
