George Floyd
on: June 02, 2020, 02:42:53 PM
Holy *** guys it’s crazy out here.  Idk if you’ve been watching the news or even care but there’s been crazy *** riots and sh*t in the wake of George Floyd’s death.

I was able to go downtown to see the first protest in Chicago and they TORE THAT sh*t UP.  I managed to get out before they trapped everyone downtown and called in the SWAT team and rounded everyone up.  I ended up going again the day after and they blocked off travel to downtown so there was barely any people there and the protests were moved to the north side.  People were spray painting swatsikas and trump2020 everywhere.

Yesterday I had to leave my neighborhood cause this white supremacist group called the big boys or whatever targeted our area.  I went to my girlfriends place but now in her neighborhood Mexicans gangs are killing us too.  I need to go back home to get my taser (which is ironically illegal) and ima go to my parents place to get a gun.

If you have any questions about details just HMU.  I’ll keep you updated as sh*t happens

Yeah, it sounds totally out of hand.

Basically paramilitary thugs masquerading as policemen.

And racist Trump fans supporting it, appalling, he's normalised something to the point people no longer care about hiding it.

Stay safe.

This Mexican gang pulled a black dude out of his car killed him and his baby on Facebook live.  They’re pretending like they’re protecting themselves from looters but they’re targeting ramdom people driving through the neighborhood

Sorry... but it's a lot more calm and normal over here. What I think you meant to write is 'what is the matter with the American people'.

You can’t go downtown without a state ID

National guard is out here.  So pretty much the domestic army

All public transit is shut off

They’re charging all 4 cops now and one of them is getting second degree murder

America should be better than this!!!!

I'm going to say this as nice as I can, but...

Seriously? You can't have a simple taste of beer till you're 21, yet you can get your first gun at 18, you have mass shootings on a level that no other country can match, there's rampant obesity in a country with no universal health care, you rely on tips because the minimum wage is (I won't use the word laughable, because it isn't funny) meagre; and ABOVE all that, you elected an unsympathetic bastard of a man who has no problem with the police beating the sh*t out of protesters, when those same police officers KILLED a man who was UNARMED by choking him to death! The same f@#$ing thing happened about 5 years ago... you'd THINK that people would learn from their mistakes.

SERIOUSLY?!? Why would you think America is better than this???

I am quite certain that it could. Indeed, it has been. The issue here is whether it would. I could say the same of UK where I am located.

Since these protests and riots started there’s been numerous reports and VIDEOS of police just killing people in like broad ass day light.

Even with all this I still wouldn’t be surprised if trump gets re-elected again

That doesn't make the actions of certain police officers any better. Their behaviour is indefensible.

This passerby attempts to return a helmet to the paramilitary thugs and they thank him by pushing him to the ground, leaving him bleeding from the back of the head.

https://mobile.twitter.com/Reuters/status/1268759072876224514

And if he'd been black they'd probably have deemed his behaviour a threat to life and shot him - plenty cases where they've done so for no reason, including where they've gone to the wrong house, or indeed when they've actually shot the person who called them for help.

Police officers are supposed to represent the higher moral ground, not overwhelming force deployed at will.

Of course it doesn't help: some people clearly feel his rhetoric legitimises such behaviour and such actions have increased lately, but we shouldn't forget it predates him as well. It's not like these things didn't happen when Obama was president.

The problem these cops have way too much responsibility and power for the amount of training and level of mental toughness required.  The police is just one big Stanford experiment

If there’s no video I honestly don’t know if I believe it.  They be lying all the time and it’s enough to legitimately question whether or not they’re on some sneaky sh*t

But hey I’ve seen some wild sh*t so who knows

I agree, but I also think the awareness that the police are becoming a quasi military force is attracting people with the wrong mindset, people who are more about bullying soft targets than public service.
