Is the sheet music accurate here?
on: July 19, 2020, 07:01:42 PM
Hi!
I don't know where to ask this so I am just asking this here.
Is the sheet music in the library accurate? I am just asking.
Thanks!
I know this is a really weird question.

Most of the sheet music here consists of things you can get through IMSLP; the advantage of IMSLP is that they often, though not always, have scans of first editions or even composers handwritten manuscripts. So if you really want to investigate whether some ornament or articulation mark is really supposed to be there, you can do it through IMSLP, a lot of the time. Or you can buy a good edition with lots of notes about the sources.
