Auditioning for Precollege
on: July 31, 2020, 06:59:47 PM
I'm planning on auditioning for Juilliard and Manhattan School of Music Precollege programs.

My repertoire:
1. Bach Fantasia in C Minor
2. Beethoven Pathetique Sonata
3. Liszt Un Sospiro
4. Kapustin Concert Etude No. 1 "Prelude"

What do you think my chances are and is the repertoire sufficient if played well? Also, does anyone know the acceptance rate of these programs?

Since this is my first post: I’m fourteen years old and have been playing piano for eleven years. I have a great community teacher but am considering moving up a level.

It's more how you play rather than what so long as a basic standard for music complexity is met
You have outlined a solid program that even music . Majors would have to work hard at  for the junior year performance track short recital etc

Good luck, you'll need to find lots of performance practice not just practice or play for your self so perform in public and record oftrn
