Bach Chorale's for finger independence

Hi everyone.
I want to study bach chorale's for finger independence and for harmonization exercises.
Do you think bach chorale's will improve my technique and independence in each fingers/hands ?

I use them to help with voicing. I give students a 2 bar section (until the fermata) and then ask them to play particular voices louder than the rest.

Really gets the brain working.
