Well, you won't want to know what it's like in Perth, Australia.

Also, I wouldn't advertise the words kill me on a forum. Serial killers these days are also getting bored, so I wouldn't be surprised if they go on online forums looking for potential victims.

You could be next MJames.    :o

This mask sh*t and social distancing is getting pretty damned old.

It's busting my agates.

And there's no end in sight.

I think the technical term is "sh*t sandwich," and that's not my favorite food.

Masks??? What masks? We don't have to wear masks...

Oh wait, that's because America is led by a guy who thinks soldiers are suckers, can remember 5 words as if it's a claim to his intelligence, smoked a bunch of protestors so he could get a picture of himself holding a bible, and has spent more time golfing than fiddling with his testicles (and even then, it's a close 2nd).

We have an incredible state leader, and I can't believe how well he's kept us safe. Just shows what good management can do for the people of a land.

Well, to take the international view, Trump is a superb Australian.  I'm glad he's no longer welcome in the US, but he seems to fill a role in Oz.

OK, that's too cruel to say, even to you.

He is a piece of stained garbage.  And a known vector for all manner of physical and mental diseases.  He should be locked in a cage with a drunken Nick Nolte, and the cage unlocked only when one survivor remains.

There's every possible reason Biden/Harris would win.  But...there are some bad elements in the US.  The betting lines consistently favor Biden's ticket, but there's no end to the villainy, corruption, and fabrication possible and even deemed desirable by certain factions.

The trouble is ... the VIRUS does NOT get Bored ! ! !  and you might just end up, the next victim.

The thing that bothers me most is the sad reality that being Filipino (and not caucasian), we will be among the last to have the vaccine, likely in late 2021.   So the boredom continues.

The reality in the US:  if you are not a front-Line worker, or in a pre-defined high-risk group, you will probably get access to the vaccine about the same time in 2021.  I’m not sure that is a bad thing:  I want the drug to have a history in the open marketplace before I take it.  The clinical trials are collecting data for two months following vaccination; that may not be long enough to have a clear picture of the safety and efficacy.

Definitely not bored.  Work slowed way down April and May, then picked up and took off as Ontario went to stage 2 & 3, and I've had more work than before.  Translation is an essential service, and I work from home anyway. Always have. Mostly boring stuff like financial statements but I did do a long one on mask materials and composition.  Now I know the difference between "particle" and "particulate", though it appears folks are not that particular or picky about which to use.  I did start looking at how people were wearing their masks, putting them on and off, differently after that.

I really appreciated the two-month slow-down when work trickled to very little. When it picked up again I thought, "Is that what it was like?  This sort of sucks!" Missed the piano time.

I struggle to recall the sensation people call boredom. I need very little external stimulus and sensation to be happy and have always enjoyed contemplation and the life of the mind. It could be a consequence of having been left to my own devices as an only child, but I think it is mostly just the nature of the beast. Aside from that there are so many neglected tasks around the house and section that I have scarcely had an idle moment since the lockdowns began.

Ted, I'm the same, and had that kind of childhood too.  Found things to do and be fascinated by then, and am the same now. Sometimes all the busy-ness of the world is a distraction.

I've been very busy during the past few months as well. Though I do miss going out with friends sometimes, I have more on my plate than I can handle as I'm putting in a lot of effort at the piano, in addition to a programming job and some courses which I'm trying to complete. I wanted to get into reading literature at some point, but I'm not able to do that because of how much there's going on in a day!

As Ted said, it may well have to do with the kind of childhood I had. I did feel bored sometimes as a child, but it's hard to feel bored now with regular access to the internet! In some sense though, I do feel cloistered sitting at home all day.

Boredom? If one has time to be bored then one has not understood the shortness of a human life...There will only be time for a fraction of things one wants to do. And most meaningful things do not require physical proximity with other people. Those that do can surely wait for a year or two...

Well, unfortunately I have no idea what you guys are going through. We've been free to roam the state since end of June and we're at the pub every night, gyms - HELL, I went to see Tenet in the movies... bloody brilliant movie.

It's going to seem a lot longer though if Trump gets in for a second term.
