Piotr Anderszewski

This wonderful pianist will be playing four recitals in the United States in the next week. Charlottelsville, VA tonight, then Aspen, La Jolla and finally Carnegie Hall on the 9th. I was hoping to get up to New York to hear him, but unfortunately things didn't work out. If anyone on this forum gets a chance to hear him at any of these venues, I would love to get a report. Thanks in advance.

I may be going to the Carnegie recital. I'll keep you posted.

I heard a "report" from somebody who attended the Charlottesville recital. She was not terribly impressed with this particular performance and didn't find it too inspiring in large parts. I personally respect Anderszewski's playing a lot, so I was a bit surprised. However, the hall is not really conducive to great playing, there is a lot of noise, so I wonder if that didn't have a great impact on either player and/or listener.
I'd be interested in hearing how the other recitals turn out.
