I had no business taking this piece on a couple years ago but here we are! Not perfect and I settled with "take 1", but I'm still quite pleased with myself. I'm a self teaching amature pianist so go easy on me. :)

Very enjoyable from start to finish. Long live the amateur.

I am amazed you could play it with your piano bouncing all over the place.

Thanks, much appreciated!

Ha, yes maybe shouldn't have gone for the cheapest stand on the market.

I can only agree with the others. You say it's not perfect - maybe not, but it's obvious you are in complete command of the considerable musical and technical demands of this piece.
Incredible performance!

Great performance! Can I ask what model piano you're using?

Yamaha P-515.
I thought so! I’ve been looking at that model to buy for myself; would you recommend it?

I would, but it depends on what you're looking for and are used to. As far as digital piano's go it's one of the better one's I've played in its price range. The keys travel a longish distance, but the effort required and the action is just right in my view. It's sterile, obviously, but transitioning to any acoustic is easy from the p515. I find the key-action on digipianos is often too light or too soft or just plain weird.

The speaker system is a bit tinny, but if you mainly play with headphones on it doesn't really matter. (The CLP 645 has a much better sound system with an identical keyboard. Price is higher ofc.)

Bottom line, you have to try it for yourself and compare it to other models. Try it several times on different days if you can. I got mine for 1500€ and it still feels like a bargain, so there you go. :)

Wow! Great take on a very hard piece to get right! Everyone who has ever nagged about the piano he had to play in a practice room or in public, or made sxcuses about how he would have played so much better on another instrument should see this video! :p

Currently I have a Yamaha acoustic upright and it's pretty bright/loud, so I'm sure a nice digital piano wouldn't be too much of a downgrade  ;D

Since I'll be going off to college soon I'm definitely looking for something portable which is why I've had my eyes on the P515. I'd also being playing in headphones almost always, so hearing that the action is good and it sounds nice in headphones is good enough for me.

Of course I'll still have to test it before buying and decide from there, but thanks for your input!
