What does LH quasi legato mean?
on: October 29, 2020, 04:13:42 PM
Hi all,

"Caribbean Mood" by Christopher Norton in "Connections 5 for Piano" has an indication that says, "LH quasi legato".

Almost legato? What does that mean? Portato? I don't know.

Resembling legato? As if it were?  Not too legato?

Compared to "FULL" legato? What in the world is full legato?

Is there, like pedaling, 1/4 legato and 1/2 legato.

I just don't understand.

Thank you, Joe.

Just play detached, so the one note's sound doesn't connect with the next.  No need to be more specific than that.
Here is someone playing it:

4'33"
