Live chat
on: February 02, 2005, 12:43:05 PM
Id like to see live chat with the ability to talk and see the person with media camera/microphone. When you chat privately (as in yahoo chat rooms) you can have mini master classes where you can see/hear music being played.
Just a thought

Nice idea, but... You'd need a very-high-speed connection (T1 or better) to make this a worthwhile experience. I find it already painful when there are small blips in speech, not to mention jittering video. But when you are talking about video and music being transmitted where small imperfections ruin the experience, then you will need high performance equipment. Depends though, what you would want to get out of such a master class.

I think alot would depend on the host server as well - how powerful it could be. But at least we should have live chat rooms for musicians to get quick answers to their music problems, and maybe ftp capabilities to upload wav files or something.
