Anna's Song
on: December 07, 2020, 04:12:21 PM

After hearing my cousin improvising a short melody on her piano I decided to add a couple of sections and develop it into a full piece, albeit a pretty simple one.
Essentially she played the first part, A, and I added two other sections, B and C, plus a transition in the middle starting with a chromatic submediant and modulating to F major. Finally I repeat the first three sections in the new key, in reverse: C, B and A.
Here's the final result:

A well crafted, enjoyable piece! I like how the different parts fit together, and that you go on a little adventure into other keys in the middle.

I hope you have played it for your cousin yet?

Thank you very much Anacrusis! Still couldn't play it live for my cousin due to the covid restrictions, but she enjoyed very much the online version.
