Testing out some recording gear and mic positions.  Pair of large diaphragm, plus a pair of small diaphragm mics.

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

Interesting coming from you, shows your versatility. At the beginning I thought I was hearing one of the new age lot but a few chords and phrases later on give you away. Nice piano sound, beautifully recorded. The ambiance where I live is more akin to summer panic at present so this is a welcome respite.

Thanks for listening, Ted.

I was aiming for a string of pivot modulations and there was a point where I thought the piece needed something different harmonically.  As for the recording gear, I want to allow a bit of time first to evaluate before giving a more thorough report.  That said, I am generally pleased with the results so far.

Aha, 'pivot modulations'! (Goes off to read Wikipedia...)

Lovely stuff, gripping surprises in the melody and the ending is beautiful, fittingly calm. I particularly like the sequence of jazzy sounding chords about 4 minutes in.
