I understand Ekier is viewed by many as the best thouroghly researched and accurate edition. I have the Henle for the Chopin Etudes and since its an Urtext it has Chopin's original pedal markings, which are sometimes surprisingly long. They do print Chopin's original fingerings as well (in the few places he indicated them) and those are valuable for sure!
Something to keep in mind with Cortot's edition is that Cortot's fingerings sometimes differ quite a lot from Chopin's.
