Winter Sunrise
on: January 20, 2021, 08:36:46 AM

Continuing testing of recording gear.  There seems to be a resonant spot around c'' to c'''.  Might also be some sympathetic vibration in the room.

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

There are some beautiful moments in this one, Neil. The rhythmic personality is quite different but at one stage it resembles the sort of thing I am likely to play as far as phrase and harmony go, you know, early twentieth century English sentiment, which I am fond of. The recording is excellent and I did not notice resonances, at least none which mattered to me, although admittedly I tend to listen to the music rather than sound quality and have a wide tolerance of aural mishaps and deficiencies.

Thanks for listening, Ted.  I felt that the rhythm was asking for a free flowing nature, at the same time as offering up cell like structures for some more distinctly defined moments.

I'm probably just being picky with regard to the recorded sound.

This gotta be my favorite from you. Listened twice and loved the slightly atonal beginning evolving into beautiful and surprising harmonies. I'll save it in my playlists for future consumption!

Really nice limpid sound. I'm impressed you're able to get that level of audio quality outwith a studio.

Thanks Ronde!

I've been taking time to dig deeper into the recorded sound and audio engineering aspect of my recordings.
