I have a white piano, and love it - the price was reduced because more people wanted a black piano, but the soudn is gorgeous. However, with a black piano with a glossy finish, you can watch your fingers move in the fallboard and check on your technique from a different angle. However, this can sometimes become distracting, especially in a performance setting. Overall, though, I don't think the color affects the sound or tone of the instrument, although I could be wrong since I'm not a scientist...
