Edited posts— no save button
on: May 29, 2021, 08:26:38 AM
If I edit a post I had made, I do not have an option to save the edited version. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have had that problem sometimes, but I can usually resolve it by reloading the page a couple of times. If you have made some edits and then reload it will be lost of course, so plan accordingly.

Nothing like that showing here.

If it is a long post and you are writing inside the browser, it is a good habit to copy the text into a temp text file before clicking post.  There are also browser add-ons that cache/backup text field contents in case something goes wrong during the post.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

the post button is not present even with screen refreshes. I can no longer reply to someone else's Post as there is no post option.

Weird, for me it works to reload a ouple of times, usually. But it doesn't happen often for me. Does it happen almost all the time for you?

It is happening 100% of the time.  Originally, couldn’t modify my posts.  Now, cannot quote someone else, as well. .  Hope Nils  sees this.

Try in another browser.

In your current browser, flush your cache.

Check your adblocker settings, are they too aggressive.

Test on another forum if your browser still does this, preferably a forum running SMF.

A recent server update has likely caused this problem with pages not fully loading in some situations. We are now doing some changes to fix it. Please report here if it works better now or if you still experience this issue.
