The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more

Dreamy piano did not  let me down, same room w very nice sellers and boseys, don't get me wrong all are worthy of their tier, but dang it I
was great , bit of a sleeper /model B killer
Now it's confirmed , grail piano along w the sf10, shigeru sk5/6/7
If I had an extra disposable 90k sitting around, would def have it in top 3

Interesting. Some Yamaha's I've played, especially poorly maintained ones, have quite a harsh, bright sound. How does this one fare for comparison?

I haven't tried the newer S models, but from your description I have had a similar experience with the older model S Yamaha's.

There are abundant numbers of Yamaha pianos in universities and conservatories, which likely get put in stock and are subsequently pounded and abused throughout the semesters.  There were Yamaha's in my university practice rooms, and I didn't really care for many of them.  However, the ones that are individually prepped, the ones that are cared for, they can truly be excellent pianos that can compete with other big makers of piano.

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

Definitely and glad to read these have been appealing to others as well it is a marvelous piano and someone co spidering a shigery, Steinway, seiler, bosendorfer, etc should consider and try some of these (,rare) things out
It may not have the fall board bragging prestige as others but I believe due to Yamahas economies of scale and volume they leverage in their other lines that this quality in a German etc piano would probably cost  30-50 or more percent more that is take Yamaha off the piano slap    a smaller prestige brand they could sell this 80/90k useld pianos for 120k
My feelings at least similar to what shigeru does if they did that quality w a eruro brand they'd be way more expensive
