What part of the year do you practice the most?
on: August 17, 2021, 10:49:28 PM
Hii! So summer's basically over and school starts soon. I had planned to practice a lot with all the free time but I ended up being lazier than I thought I would be :'( I'd almost say I've been more productive with my practice during the semesters than during the holidays. I don't understand why that is? Is it the same for you? When are you the most productive with you practice?

I found more time to practice during this summer than I do during the semesters (I'm not in school anymore, though). I usually like practising sporadically during the day, and get more done that way, than if I have to squeeze it in before or after work. Of course, I also work during the summer but I also get more time off  :D

Definitely winter-time.

It's dark outside for a good bit of the day, and it just feels like a good time to be at home doing stuff rather than catting around in the bars until all hours of the night.

Same with reading/studying.

It's just quieter:  neighbors aren't doing a lot of construction, yadda yadda.
My name is Nellie, and I take pride in helping protect the children of my community through active leadership roles in my local church and in the Boy Scouts of America.  Bad word make me sad.

It just struck me that I don't even know anymore. The pandemic messed with my practicing a great deal (I used to rely on instruments not in my home which I obviously couldn't utilize nearly as much during the pandemic) and I only recently got a digital instrument to play on at home. I can't even remember when I was the most productive before that. :S I do recall summer holidays were often good but honestly I am not sure.

Not much difference but summer (which only lasts about 6 weeks here) is the least productive - more people want to visit, hiking is tempting, there's lots of work in the vegetable garden.

Seems like there is a slight majority that practice better in the autumn/winter than the summer then  :D whew! Summer is definitely nice so I like to spend time outside  8) Here's to cozy indoor practice during the autumn!
