Great playing! You gave this piece a fine sense of space and poetry.

Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

Thanks for posting this! Impressive playing! This is on my to do list. Such a beautiful piece. If I recall correctly, this prelude was Rachmaninoff's favorite.

Thank you all for the kind remarks! Bocklin's "The Homecoming" really inspired me after learning this is the artwork Rachmaninoff modeled this prelude after. There are clear themes from the painting that reflect on his composition, from the watery reflection in the pool, to the warm light one can only perceive from a real home, and the gut wrenching longing for something that is beyond reach, this piece is visceral with the emotions displayed and the story is quite clear. I performed this for my 1st end of year M.Mus in Performance recital, so if there is any objective criticism I'd love to hear it!
Best,
Enmanuelle
