Swedish piano pieces?
on: November 02, 2021, 06:35:41 PM
I've been tasked of finding some Swedish music to learn on the piano. I'm open to anything (classical/folk/pop). I tried to find something of pop, but I wasn't able to find any sheet music. Please help  ;D

(I've played more for more than 10 years, so any suggestions of any difficulty are welcome)

These are pretty famous, especially the first one:

Not too difficult to play either. It sounds more impressive and difficult than it is.

Those are great! Too bad the pianist plays in a sort of bangy and mechanical way, I see a lot of moments in the score he could take better care of, making the pieces more dynamic.

If you're willing to venture to Norway, Tveit was a really good piano composer.

There are 2 amazing concerti by Wilhelm Stenhammar (I apologize in case the spelling is wrong), you might want to check it out. :)

Stenhammar is great, probably the finest swedish composer. Peterson-Berger and Hugo Alfven are famous too, both inspired by swedish folk music.

Here is Summersong by Wilhelm Peterson-Berger.

Free high quality scores of swedish composers:

Choose ”Tonsättare” and type the name of the composer or just browse on the first letter.

Intåg i sommarhagen is nice too:
