Big fan, right here! Actually I was just going to buy the book with his published letters, it gives a great insight to his life and work.

*raises hand* LoTR fan- not obsessive (I don't know elvish and go around quoting lines from the Silmarillion), but I do have a profound respect for Tolkien's genious.

I've read The Hobbit, LOTR, and the Silmarillion. 8)  Tolkien pretty much established to Fantasy genre of lit.  Not a bad accomplishment.
