Cziffra's jazz recordings
on: December 30, 2021, 01:34:12 AM
I got a dreem last night of listening to cziffra play "memories of you" by yubee blake.

The truth is, cziffra recorded a few jazz musics in the past. Only two were available on youetube, tea for two and sophisticated lady. Maybe the uploader forgot: Dinah, blueskies, smoke gets in your eyes.

The title of CD: "Georges Cziffra  Improvisations & Unpublished Pieces  Klassicsotaku CD-5109" which i read about from japan site https://muse-press.com/2020/06/15/yoshiike-10/ .

In his biography, cziffra played tiger rag.

Anyone know how to get a hold of this CD or if the recordings are available somewhere? Or if there are other jazz recordings he did?

I hope this post not get 0 replies as this forum usually do. Thanks.

I've been very curious about this very question as well!

Check out the YouTube channels which regularly post Cziffra recordings, and see if you can contact them. I believe the YouTube channel Classical Piano Rarities claims to have a lot of unpublished recordings.
