Ravel Pavane sur une Infante Defunte
on: January 04, 2022, 03:39:56 PM
Hi,
Here is my last performance of Ravel's Pavane. I hope you enjoy it, and also feedback is welcome.
I know I have problems with the last part, it is just that no one has really guided me in how to learn that part which is very difficult, so I had to figure it out with what I know.
Right now, I am learning another one: Pagodes of Debussy. One of my life goals is to learn Une Barque sur l'Ocean and Jeux d'Eaux, so I hope I can learn more and get what I can learn from the pieces I have learnt from both Debussy and Ravel. (and I am also right now learning Chopin's Etude op 10 no 3 as well)

Too much resonance too my ears. Hard to hear melody lines, bring out more, and chords softer. I see you put something over the piano to dampen it. Too much pedal or is it the piano not in good condition? Microphone not good? Try without pedal. My very amateurish points. Lovely piece.

Thanks for your feedback, btw, that something over the piano was not to dampen it, the red thing is for the keyboard when I close the piano, and the grey thing to protect the piano from the dust.
I have another piece I am learning, and this is without pedal. Please check the mp3 and check if there is still resonance even though the piece sounds choppy.
