Lenny......buddy.......
on: February 11, 2005, 05:29:13 AM
Wassup holmes? Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm curious about something.

I thought it seemed like you had been posting quite a bit over the past couple days. I checked out your profile, and frankly I'm shocked. According to your profile, you registered on Feb. 9 (today is the 11th) and you already have 181 posts! Your average is 90.5 per day! :o What's the deal with that?!?!?!

That's GOTTA be a Piano Forum record.

I'm just.....I'm in awe.

Your profile also says that you have spent over 18 hours online so far. Have you slept at all? Have you had time to even touch a piano?

At this rate, you'll break Bernhard's post count by next week!!!!

Lenny is Julie’s brother.  ;)
(Remember Julie? 400 posts in 11 days.

And here is a picture of Lenny last time his family decided to go on holidays: ;D

Best wishes,

Lenny, boy,  I'm kind of new to this forum myself, and compared to some other places, it is a little slow paced.  I sort of like that.

One thing I can tell you.  It's not a place you can come in gangbusters, with 200 posts a day and expect to have the whole forum flora and fauna adoring you.  If you really want to make friends, be patient.  Post when you think you have something to add, and above all, use your ears and listen.  There's a lot to be gained here.  Especially if piano is your schtick (which seems to be your case behind all of the bluster).

PS  I must admit, I'm beginning to develop an odd affection for you. :-X :P ;D

Since you asked: You seem to know a lot about music and the piano, and you have quite a bit of constructive information and advice to contribute. However, all this is often offset by your somewhat overly provocative and abrasive attitude. Particularly, your occasional long spells of extremely childish and pre-pubescent posts does undermine your positive qualities.

"Naah", Flexo would say "You're alright."

Everything would be fine if you could keep your lower-quality posts to a minimum. I'm still mad at you for destroying our little "Let's write a story" thread. As long as you keep p***ing off people by such actions, you will have to expect less than flattering posts about yourself.

Otherwise, you're alright (as Flexo would say).

:D

PS: just saw your last post: this, lenny, is not the right way.

id like examples, i feel offended by your accusations of immaturity

Walk the walk, Lenny, walk the walk........

Not sure what that means, but it sounds good.

I have absolutely no problem with your posts. Perhaps there are times when you could condense your ideas into fewer posts, but whatever, it's a free country. I can see how some people might be somewhat annoyed by a barrage of posts from a newbie. Just don't wear yourself out. You got spunk, kid!

Lenny: You bear a shocking resemblence to a man on TV by the same name. You're not HIM, are you? ;D ;D ;D

Bernhard: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!! Excellent photo! (That guy should just get a laptop and then he could take it with him! lol).

lenny i think you're a valuable contributor to pianoforum inspite of what others say. The "lets tell a story thread" is imo a joke (non-serious post boasting thread) and you treat it as such. However, it would do you some good to go out once in a while. 60 posts per day can't be healthy.  ;D

Have you...seen the story thread?  I'm not a part of it, but I read it for kicks occasionally.  Of course it's a "joke" thread.  That's pretty obvious from reading the first couple sentences of that nonsensical story.  But the thing is, they were trying to keep it clean.  Family friendly, shall we say.  And Lenny maliciously went out of his way to deflower it.

Post-boosting thread? I take offense at that. You can't imagine the many agonizing hours I spent trying to come up with a suitable word; the tedious browsing to figure out what other people's words mean. Agonizing...  ;D ;D ;D

Post-boosting is a myth, anyway. Who cares about how many posts anybody has? It's the quality of the posts that counts, and how much they actually help others. I couldn't care less about the number of posts.

BTW, Brewtality, nobody said lenny wasn't a valuable contributor. But then, it also depends on what people think has "value".

Hey, Jgoo.  Yup, I do miss some people.    Some who are still there and others who have left for good.  But, I'm still in touch with a fair number of both, and who knows, if the climate and my psyche are in alignment, I may return.  Thanks for asking.  ;)

Lenny, everything is subjective, you moron.  "Moron."  That's subjective.  And you are one.  Feel free to read in between the lines.

If you truly don't understand the difference between posting about coitus and posting about terrorism, there is most likely no hope left for you.

Not to sound all "holier-than-thou" or anything (in fact there is really nobody "less holy" than me), but don't you think this whole argument is a bit childish? Just let it go. It's really not a big deal, and life's too short.

True, but wouldn't that comment be more appropriately directed to those who sit in front of the computer for six or more hours at a time?  :-\
