From Classical to Jazz

Any thoughts on classical pianists switching to/ playing jazz music? The best I've seen are Thibaudet and Previn. Is it an abomination or does it inspire you? Thoughts anyone?

Hello. I am electrodoc and I have been away from Piano Street for a long, long time. I am 78 years old and still managing to stand upright!

I felt that I had to reply to this post. Andre Previn, in fact, moved from jazz to classical. His earlier recordings were with the Andre Previn trio.
