The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more

Hey all! I've recently taken interest in vintage piano music. Does anyone here collect any or have any advice on how to?

What do you mean by vintage piano music? Like old pieces? Like... Beethoven's sonatas? :P

Ah interesting. There are some scans of first editions on IMSLP. As for physical copies, you'll have to get lucky. A few years ago our local music library was throwing out a bunch of old stuff, and I got my hands on a bunch of beautiful editions from the 1800s of both well known and forgotten music, with embossing and gold letters and color illustrations and all sorts of neat stuff. It's now gathering dust in a corner of my music room, but still, neat to have!
