Struggling to make progress in fantasie impromptu
on: April 20, 2022, 04:29:16 AM
Hi guys,
I've been learning chopin's fantasie impromptu since mid January. I had learned the piece by mid february but not close to performance quality. I have been steadily working and improving over the past few months, but recently I've hit a sort of wall. I've been struggling with the phrasing and the dynamics of the A section and outro for a long while now, and I've tried slowing down then speeding back up and I cant quite seem to make any breakthroughs with making the song better.
Does anyone have any practice tips or advice?

What exactly with the phrasing and dynamics are you struggling with? What is bad about it now and how would you like it to sound instead?

Could you make a simple recording or video? Then it might be easier to come up up with some tips.
