Hello everybody,

I have made a search on this forum and all over the internet but did not find someone with the same problem as me, so I decided to start a new topic.
I will try to be brief.

It seems that the sound of my digital piano (Yamaha CP88) lingers a bit longer than it should after I release a key (no reverb or echo etc is activated).
So, if I push a key, release it, and then push down the pedal quite after, the sound goes on (less loud than if I were to push it down when pushing the key but still loudly enough to hear it clearly).

This is a problem, because I cannot properly clear the harmonies when changing harmonies.

To be clear :

I push down the pedal, play a chord, play an other chord, release and push the pedal back down again, but since the sound of the first chord still goes on longer than it should, it is not cleared by the pedal and still goes on a bit (but less loudly) during the 2nd chord.

Sorry for my bad english.

Just for info, I am not a piano beginner and so I know how to properly use the pedal. The problem is a technical problem with the piano.

If you have any advice as to what kind of problem it could be.

Thanks in advance!

This sounds like the receptor under the key is still getting a "key pressed down signal".

I suggest you contact YAMAHA support in your country.

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah, that's what I am going to do.
