Keypeg?
on: June 28, 2022, 11:51:01 PM
I haven't been here in years, and I noted that Keypeg stopped posting in 2013.

Keypeg, if you're still reading the boards, I hope you return and post!

How did you come to that wrong conclusion?

Well, that's a lovely surprise to wake up to.  Nice to see you around. :)  I think my last post was a couple of weeks ago?   Nothing that bright, as I recall..

Ah, I did a board search by member name and what I got was postings in 2013...so perhaps board search doesn't work for member names? At any rate, so delighted that you are here!  I have a newish teacher (started 18 months ago), and it has been challenging, but in a wonderful way!  How are you?

Hard to tell why your search went awry.  Now that we have found each other again, so to say - when you click on a name at the side of their post, you'll be brought to a page that includes a hyperlink to all the posts the person has made.  So you can catch up to my posts.  I just had a look at your last 10 or so posts.  I saw that in 2018 you had a new teacher - this time you have written some things you've been learning from your teacher.  Is it the same one?  I saw that the 2018 new teacher gave you new perspectives on playing and music than the one prior to that.

In one of your recent posts you asked about RCM incl. theory.  When I did RCM 15+ years ago, it was violin.  I did do RCM rudiments - all three levels, writing the intermediate and advanced exams; and went into studying harmony theory - doing more than the recommended Sarnecki book (which I didn't care for and still don't.)

Take Your Seat! Trifonov Plays Brahms in Berlin

“He has everything and more – tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that,” as Martha Argerich once said of Daniil Trifonov. To celebrate the end of the year, the star pianist performs Johannes Brahms’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Philharmoniker and Kirill Petrenko on December 31. Piano Street’s members are invited to watch the livestream. Read more
