To those who read posts in this forum but don't reply... Why are you here??
on: July 07, 2022, 04:59:07 AM
Hello. This is Leigh and I am back again with anothere post. The problem is, no one replies.
😅 I mean that there are nice people who share their thoughts in my posts and answer my questions but... only ONE? I mean, the more the merrier, right? Because in my opinion, replying to someones questions not only help the one who asked but also the newbies here (much newier than me) who are wondering the same thing! So please be kind and comment on peoples posts and don't just go log in to see who posted what or read posts with no replies! I mean what is the whole point of posting?
Thanks to the ones who comment on my posts. I really appreciate that.

Your question is a fair one but I can only answer for myself. I have been a member here and on Pianoworld for over twenty years and I usually read many posts but reply to few. The one thing I have learned over that time is that I have a highly individual approach to music and to playing the piano. Although this is by no means a bad thing in itself I am wary of steering people in wrong directions, particularly in regard to classical music which, to put it mildly, I am not very good at. If I spot a discussion to do with, say, ragtime or free improvisation and I feel I can help someone then I shall do so.

I can also only speak for myself
I read the forums almost every day, and post rather extensively, but not every day. I like posting when I have some time to sit down and read and think about what I can answer. Or if a post inspires me to just share something or ask a question. Some days I'm in the mood to read but not to write. So there can be a number of reasons

Ted and lelle, it doesn't matter if you Don't post everyday. The fact that you replied to my post here proves that you don't read-and-leave. Thanks .
