When Practice Stagnates – Breaking the Performance Ceiling: Robotic Training for Pianists

“Practice makes perfect” is a familiar mantra for pianists, yet true perfection remains elusive. Research suggests that a robotic exoskeleton could assist pianists during the practice phase in increasing speed in difficult passages by overcoming the well-known “ceiling effect”. Read more

Piano, Flute, and Violin piece
on: February 13, 2005, 05:31:26 PM
Two of my good friends, phenomenal flute and violin players respectively, are having their senior recital this year. We wanted to play something all together so I am wondering what chamber music there is for the piano, flute and violin. We don't need anything virtuosic, just a nice piece that we can pretty easily put together in a few months to have fun playing with each other one last time. Thanks

I just started playing Ibert's two interludes for piano, flute and violin. The second interlude was very beautiful, both of the interludes are very easy to play. I could sightread almost everything, the piano part is basically only accompaniement.
You could check them out, it's not the best thing I've heard in my life but it's nice music.

Are you referring to Iberts two interludes for flute violin and harp? The harp part could be played on the piano, but maybe you are talking about something else.
