Posting Complaint.

Hello! I request that when sombody post here, can it be that foul words will be blocked if anybody types and then posts it? Some new members or younger people might bump in to those and you know. Plus it is kind of far to the whole purpose of this forum-- piano. Piano piano piano it is all about that. Even at the 'Anything but piano' People still talk things about piano. At the pf they post about piano or relating to piano. Thats what it is all about! And adults (or seniors) aren't the only people playing piano. So it is kind of disturbing to have members (I won't say their username to lessen you-know-what) to post bad words and stuff. I mean, does he even play piano? Did he come here to scream all over the place and change fonts or what? That's all.Thanks.

This forum has run quite well without the call for irrational censorship (or what you call bad words example of which you deleted since it is not even a "bad word"), the fact that moderators mostly stay out of the way is what made pianostreet special as it is, sorry we don't need to change imho. So you would rather have this website run around with trash by members covering the good of the creator? You would rather have it not improved so it will stay special? Is that it? You prefer moderators to stay out of the way so it won't become an ordinary website. Then why do moderators exist? Why is there a PF website in the first place to take suggestions from members to upgrade if it is better for piano street to stay the same for all eternity?

You've been here 2 weeks and calling other members content trash, what is wrong with you?? I've been here like almost 20 years providing help to people over the years for all matters piano. Why don't you stop complaining and make the forum better as you think it should be by posting useful content? Or if all you want to do is attention seek continue on, we can see your post history.

You are so agressive you seem to be guilty of something in the past 20 years you have been here. Also, there is a saying 'Thinkers are doers' I'm sure you know that I just wanted to make things clear.

You continue to think I'm angry which is just wrong you merely are projecting your own emotions. You are a 2 week member thinking you know it all where it's obvious you don't, but thats teens for you they think they know it all. Lol

I have a lot more brains than yourself who doesn't even know how to use Google and asks obsolete questions on the forum instead. Not to mention you complain the forum is quiet when you don't even respond to people answering your questions on the multiple threads you have created.

Agree with liw that no change is necessary. I think what we need here is to have more good posts and discussions, there are still lots of things that haven't been discussed.

You always have the option of reporting a post to the moderator if you think it is particularly offensive. Rarely, the moderator has banned posters who were consistently and aggressively insulting, but it has to be pretty egregious. This place is far more civil than many internet forums, and you can always just not engage with people you find unpleasant. I know that "just ignore them" seems pretty lame if you are being constantly inundated with offensive posts, but that's not really the case here, I think. Most folks are pleasant and helpful.

Well said! Moderators are present here on the sidelines in case they might be needed, not in order to conduct themselves in a heavy-handedly dictatorial manner; were the latter to apply instead, the forum would undoubtedly be demeaned thereby and at greater risk of censorship, which I imagine few members would welcome.
