It's hard to imagine the grotesque
atmosphere of Scarbo. Maybe is there some movie that I can watch?

idk honestly. It has a pretty particular atmosphere. I like understanding the character by studying the music and trying to figure out what emotions/textures/vibes the composer was trying to portray.

There is a hidden meaning behind the Gaspard set, it is about Ravel's father. The first movement represents the love Ravel had for his father, the 2nd is the sickness of his father and the 3rd responds to his death. If you look at the date his father died and when Gaspard was written it will make sense that this is true. There is also the poetry which is attached to the three peices which can be read here:
