Bach bwv 797 sinfonia/ invention 11 in g
on: December 14, 2022, 10:39:44 AM
Hello. I’m learning to play Bach sinfonia in g bwv 797. It is in three voices and I can tell them all apart. I know I guess the motif/ theme but does anyone know how to play it correctly ? What should be emphasized? Maybe someone has some sheet music with everything including the theme notated ? Would highly appreciate <3

Don't you have sheet music? Or what do you mean? How did you learn the piece?
The beauty of studying Bach and why it can be beneficial is that you need to look at the music and analyze and decide for yourself which voice is most important and which ones are less important at any given moment, as well as how to portray this. He doesn't leave a lot of instructions on that front, so you have to think for yourself and learn how to understand music better. There are certain things that are believed to by stylistically more "correct" when playing baroque music but there is not "one" correct way to play the theme.
