Notated preludes
on: January 16, 2023, 09:19:34 PM
Written out quite some time after the event of the original improvisation...

Quite simple technically for the most part but not entirely innocent and quite dark in places.

A very attractive set of Preludes.  I am wondering at what part of the creative process these pieces were deiced to be gathered as a set.  They work very well together.

It is wonderful that you have taken these pieces from improvisation, to notation, to performed composition.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

A belated response, but thank you! They were put together as a set somewhat post-event but they were all improvised within a fairly small timeframe. I was pleased to feel that they were good enough to be worth performing in public after only the smallest of edits to the original (usually minor grammatical details).
