Please help me to verify if my chords are correct
on: January 24, 2023, 02:46:52 AM
Hi guys. Im Analyzing Rei's songs from Evangelion. Could someone please help me out with the chords. I assume the piece is in A minor. (I'm only analysing first page for now)

I agree it's in a minor! Overall it's pretty good.
In the first bar, it looks to me like it's the 4th that has been added, not the 2nd. Remember that these chords are in the first inversion, so place them in root position before concluding which coloring has been added.
Remember that the I is the i, (i e lowercase), since the i is a minor triad. Uppercase indicates major, lowercase indicates minor. I think you know this since you got this right in other cases.
Not sure what I'd put on the third and fourth beat in bar 9 and analogous passages actually. Maybe I'd just consider it chromatic decoration/voice leading, with the fundamental harmony staying on the i. I don't think there is a right or wrong here.
Not sure about the add2sus4 in bar 11.

Thanks lelle. Sorry for late reply I subscribed to get notified I don't know why it didn't come through. I agree with all that you said. Its definitely a really cool, interesting futuristic style that is quite hard to analyze
