Scriabin Poeme-Nocturne
on: February 23, 2023, 06:36:20 AM
Can anyone tell me if this piece would be okay for me to learn? Ive recently played/am playing: Ligeti- Arc en Ciel, Schönberg- Op19 no1, Bach- partita no1 and Schubert- impromptu op90 no4.
If not what other late Scriabin or other music like this would you recommend for me te study?
Thanks in advance :)

If you're not familiar with late Scriabin I'd recommend a shorter work to start with. Many of them come as a pair so you could learn a couple- off the top of my head the poemes op.63, 69, 71, the op.67 preludes, the danses op.73 (my personal favourite).

Oh I really like the op73 guirlandes and op71 en revant, I’ll ask my teacher about those! Should I also ask about the op65 no2 or is that one to difficult?

I don't know the op.65 very well but the no.2 looks more straightforward than Ligeti's Arc en Ciel so why not give it a go?
