Welcome to the forum.
If you are completely new to piano, then you really need to get yourself a teacher and a practice instrument. But beforehand, make sure you realise what you are letting yourself in for. Ask yourself what to you it means to play the piano. Learning the piano successfully requires work and commitment, and a drive to achieve your goals. It requires the ability to see your way around problems and take responsibility for your own progress. It requires the ability to find answers, not excuses. It requires the ability to perpetually renew your enthusiasm for the pursuit - it is so easy to fall out of love with one's piano, but to succeed it is vital that one figures out how to kiss and make up. That said, if you can come to terms with these concepts you will be richly rewarded with a very satisfying pastime. Trust me when I say the positives far outweigh the negatives.
Good luck.
Richard.
