Rock/Pop songs with bluesy piano solos?
on: March 10, 2023, 01:21:44 AM
There are not a lot of rock/pop songs with specifically bluesy piano solos. I'm trying to learn as many as I can. Can any of you think of songs that I'm missing?
Billy Idol - Forgot to be a Lover
Fine Young Cannibals - Good Thing
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama
Great White - Once Bitten, Twice Shy
Doors - LA Woman
Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil
Elton John - Honky Cat
Guns n Roses - Knockin on Heaven's Door
James Brown - Get on Up

Depending on genre definitions.
And keyboard/organ in normal instrumentation:
Booker T & the MGs - Green onions
The Animals - House of the rising sun
Both have great blues-based solos though
