Saint Saens Carnival of the Animals Aquarium duet
on: March 11, 2023, 11:45:37 AM
Hello the Secondo of the Saint Saens Aquarium arranged for duet has an una corda marking at the very beginning and no tre corde anywhere else in the piece. I find it a little strange that the una corda be held down for the entire duration of the piece. Does anyone know if it is supposed to be held down for the whole piece? Thank you.

Why not?
The whole character of the piece is quiet and crystalline and doesn't really change, so it would make sense to keep the Una Corda down if that's what's instructed. Are there any parts of the piece you feel the Una Corda should be removed?
