looking for a teacher

hi all as you may know im new to the world of piano! and taking the advise from mound i am looking for a teacher the problem is i dont know where to find a good one and also knowing if he/she is good, so if anyone could give any pointers please let me know also what is the avrage price for a lesson, (iam from bradford uk) so if anyone has any information that can help please let me know

I think your best bet would be looking for a reputable music institute in your area.  You can find quality instruction for usually reasonable prices.  If that is a bit overkill, you may want to get connected to some local music teacher's association and they would undoubtedly be able to refer you to a private teacher.  In the US, I had instruction from a very well-known teacher and it was about $90 an hour.  I think the average is around $50 an hour, though.  Hope this helps!
