Have you heard a lot of violin music?
Do you have any favourite violin concertos or other pieces?
I like these concertos:
Tchaikowski's D major
Bruch's g minor
Wieniawski's fis minor
Brahms's D major.
The piano is an orchestra with 88...... things, you know.

John Cage's violin music is very cool.

I'm speaking in particular about his "Freeman Etudes," played wonderfully by Irvine Arditti, but his other violin works are pretty killer as well.

Peace,
Bri

An album of these was recently released (past month or so).  Gramophone loved it, if I remember correctly, and they've been getting progressively pickier.
