"First Lessons in Bach" second piano accompaniment?
on: October 09, 2023, 03:08:24 PM
Hello all,
My piano teacher asked me to find this, but my Google skills have failed me
He says there is a teacher part (second piano accompaniment book) for the "First Lessons in Bach" (ed. Walter Carroll). Does anyone know where I can find this -- or something similar (e.g. second piano part for other beginner Bach compilations)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm sure you found this sheet music by doing a google search (available by Schirmer and Alfred on Amzn). I didn't see anything about a "teacher accompaniment" part. But if your teacher has this music (I assume he does if he's recommending it), and it's a two piano studio, then it will be easy for him/her to play along with you - the LH or RH or to make up an accompaniment - - these are easy pieces. If on one piano, the teacher should still be able to play a few notes in the upper or lower registers to keep the tempo. If that doesn't make sense, try telling us more about what your teacher is asking for.

On the face of this, it doesn't make a lot of sense, as the Walter Carroll book is just a selection of pieces from the Anna Magdalena Notebook. The pieces are unedited (with minor exceptions), and are complete in themselves, so there isn't any room for an accompaniment.
