Original Sketches for Schumann Op. 11 sonata
on: November 09, 2023, 11:40:54 AM
Hi all,

Does anyone know if there is a surviving original manuscript/sketches for the Schumann Op. 11 sonata? If so, does anyone know where I can find it, as I have had no luck so far?

Many thanks!

I take it you’re not a fan of one of the greatest post-Beethoven sonatas then? 😂

He does not like Schumann in general. And no, I cannot find the original MS. Why do you need it?

I want to see if there are some additional markings/scribbles that may not be in the final version - shame, Op. 11 ms doesn't seem to exist anywhere...
