Bach Little Prelude 4 850a DM level?
on: November 29, 2023, 05:29:44 PM
Hi all - I've seen several listings of levels for Bach's works, but none seem to include Little Prelude 4, BWV 850a. I've seen levels for 850, but I'm not sure that's the same. Anyone have a clue here? Thanks much!

Not sure I understand the question, but BWV 850a is essentially an early version of the prelude of BWV 850, no? Incompletely notated, at that. So the level would be the same as BWV 850. I would argue the fugue is easier than the prelude so prelude would set the bar for the level imo.

Thank you for your explanation. I appreciate it!
