Doug, you need to help us out a little more.  The Pathetique Sonata  is a fairly long sonata.   If you tell us the movement (1st, 2nd or 3rd) and section, or best of all the measure number within that movement, we could give you specific advice on the pedaling.  But realistically, it would be impossible to tell you how to pedal the entire sonata here.

actually, RachFan, I think that he is talking about a different sonata. the Pathetique is Op.13 (isn't it?). Op.10No.1 is a great sonata (not too demanding) but much underplayed. If you specify what you mean, Doug, I'll help you. I studied this sonata, I know it quite well.

You're right, at first glance I was misled by the c minor.  It is indeed the earlier sonata.
