PLEASE HELP ME!!!
on: February 21, 2005, 04:21:13 AM
I live in Victoria BC Canada and there are absolutly NO piano dvds here (except lang lang but......) does anyone know a good internet site that you can order piano dvds from that actually has a good selection (aka famous pianists playing full pieces). Also has anyone ever heard of Pollini dvds?

Thanks

well, I recently ordered this one:

https://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0001AW0CK/qid=1108962354/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_0_1/701-7372530-0316325

and Im thinking about getting this one:

https://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00004TJS1/qid=1108962421/sr=1-4/ref=sr_1_2_4/701-7372530-0316325

Amazon.ca is a great place to start.  Under the DVD heading just start putting in Artists names and it wont be long before you start seeing what you are looking for.

Also, check your local library.  I have seen a number of DVDs of piano recitals, etc. just borrowed from the library.

I will suggest this much:  dont expect to find this stuff at HMV or something..  Online is the way to go.  Google in whatever you need to, to find what you want.  Just make sure you order from reputable sites only.
