Classical guitar enthusiasts – can you name this piece?
on: January 09, 2024, 03:02:48 AM
I understand this is a piano forum, but I put this in anything but piano thread so hopefully this is ok. Does anyone know who wrote the classical guitar piece in this commercial? Sounds like it could be Agustin Barrios, but I doubt that he wrote this. The commercial uses only a 30 second excerpt. My quick google searches came up blank. Thanks.

This piece is Tarrega Gran Vals. After not touching a guitar for 42 years, I bought a classical guitar a few weeks ago and 2nd one just now. 1) Yamaha silent classical guitar SLG200NW and 2) a cheap acoustic classical Yamaha CG192s. If things go well in the next year or so, I will get something decent, maybe Thomas Humphrey Millennium model. Things are looking good so far. Good to be back to working on music.
